Stan Chien, DDS
Practicing general dentistry for 16 years, Dr. Chien is an Irvine dentist dedicated to providing high quality dental care. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, demonstrating his need to always strive for excellence. Dr. Chien services ranges from general dentistry to cosmetic dentistry. He ensures that patients achieve the best oral care by communicating and educating patients on all their available options.
Outside of the profession, Dr. Chien enjoys spending time with his daughter, tutoring and volunteering at local schools, volunteering in East LA, Santa Ana, and Mexico, golfing, and supporting his alma mater’s football team. He also loves to go on walks, play golf, and talk about food!
Dr. Chien is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Society and the Academy of Osseointigration. Dr. Chien has extensive training in sleep apnea and implants. Dr. Chien goes above and beyond the required hours to further educate himself. Also, Dr. Chien is a member of several dental study clubs with reputable mentors.
David Kao, DDS
Dr. David Kao is our in-house periodontist or “gum specialist” and has been a member of our treatment team since 2008. He received his degree in dentistry from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2004 and his certificate for advanced training in Periodontology from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2007. Soon after completion of his residency, Dr. Kao achieved board certification by the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Kao has led an active dental career as dental student, dental resident and periodontist. While in dental school, Dr. Kao received numerous awards and recognitions, and conducted clinical research to investigate the dental X-ray presentation of osteoporosis patients. While in residency, Dr. Kao investigated the relationship between gum disease and graft rejection in organ transplant patients, which earned him honorable recognition by the American Academy of Periodontology. Currently, Dr. Kao and active participant in Help the Children, a humanitarian relief organization. With a gentle touch and a compassionate disposition, Dr. Kao offers care unsurpassed by most clinicians.
Stephanie Huang, Hygienist
"I was born and raised in Taiwan and came to California to study in 2017, and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from West Coast University. I have three years of dental assistant experience in Taiwan and one year of dental hygienist experience in the clinic of West Coast University; therefore, I am fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English. My responsibility is to examine patients for signs of oral diseases, such as gingivitis, and provide preventive care, including oral hygiene. I have compassion, excellent fine motor skills are needed to grasp instruments and work inside patients' mouths, and great interpersonal skills."
